Biography
Jeremy Webb started Beijing’s Social@Ogilvy team in early 2010. He has since led or been involved with the majority of Ogilvy PR Beijing’s digital and social media accounts and has provided social media strategy, execution and training for a number of major clients including Nestle, Burberry and Crayola.Highly knowledgeable about the Chinese internet, Jeremy’s blog posts at Asia Digital Map are widely read by industry professionals and are often quoted by influential publications in China.
Jeremy is in daily contact with Social@Ogilvy teams across the world and is responsible for taking Ogilvy’s global best practices and localizing them for the China market.
Jeremy speaks, reads, and writes Chinese. His popular Chineselanguage blog, AngryEditor.com, has recently been published as a book; it is selling well.
Jeremy holds a first-class bachelor’s degree in Chinese from the University of Leeds. His undergraduate dissertation – “Democratisation 2.0” – focused on the potential of social media to engender social and political change in China.
