Biography
Huang Xiaoguang joins ANZ in January 2015 as CEO China and Head of Greater China. In this role he is responsible for designing and execution of the China strategy plan and capturing trade and investment flows within Greater China in a wider capacity. Xiaoguang will also focus on business growth across priority trade corridors in country.
Prior to ANZ, Xiaoguang worked in Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was President of Bank of America China, Head of Corporate Banking China and Co-head of Corporate and Investment Banking China.
Before joining BAML in 2010, Xiaoguang was President of Citibank (China) Co. Ltd. and Head of Corporate Banking China for the last 14 years. In his over 22 year career, he had held various senior roles at ABN AMRO, Citigroup as well as BAML with different geographies.
Xiaoguang graduated from Nijenrode University, the Netherlands School of Business, with MBA degree on UN scholarship in 1988 and graduated from Shanghai University of International Business and Economics with BA degree in 1984.
In 2007, Shanghai Municipal Government presented Xiaoguang with the Magnolia Silver Award in appreciation of his valuable contribution to Shanghai’s economic development and the same year, he also won the honor of 2007 China’s annual 10 Talents in Finance. Xiaoguang is the Vice President of the Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association (SORSA) and an arbitrator of Shanghai Court of Financial Arbitration.
