Biography
Chris Hopkins is a graduate of the University of Otago, holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, with a double major in Accounting and Information Systems and is a member of The New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand (Inc).
Chris Hopkins spent ten years working for Deloitte, including several years in Deloitte’s London, UK office.
In 1994, Chris joined Donaghys Limited as Corporate Services Manager, working in their corporate office.
In 1996, Chris was assigned the responsibility for managing the financial and commercial side of Scott Technology Limited.
In 1997, Chris was responsible for preparing the Listing Profile and associated statutory compliance to ensure the successful listing of Scott Technology Limited on the New Zealand Stock Exchange in July 1997.
Chris was appointed an Executive Director of Scott Technology Ltd in August 2001 and in May 2006 was appointed as Managing Director and CEO, a position he continues in today.
