Two Degrees Mobile chairman Stewart Sherriff will act as the mobile phone company’s interim chief executive after the
death of Eric Hertz and his wife Kathy in a plane crash on the weekend.
Sherriff, who is also a senior vice president of cornerstone shareholder Trilogy International Partners, will assume the interim role effective immediately after he and Trilogy chief Brad Horwitz arrived in Auckland today, the company said in a statement. The pair met with the phone company’s management team and
attended a board meeting today.
“Eric was a veteran in the wireless industry and brought that experience to bear in the New Zealand market,” Horwitz said in a statement. “He has built a great team and his passion for excellence and exceeding customer’s expectations have been instilled into the entire organisation.”
Police are still searching for the Hertz’s plane which crashed off the Raglan coast on Saturday.
