Biography
Theo Spierings is Chief Executive Officer of the Fonterra Co-operative Group, New Zealand’s largest company and the world’s largest processor of dairy products. He joined Fonterra in 2011, bringing with him a wealth of experience in managing dairy businesses across Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East and Europe.
Theo has a 27-year history in the global dairy industry and has held a variety of general management positions in operations and supply chain, and sales and marketing, across a number of geographies. Theo was previously the acting CEO of Royal Friesland Foods, leading the Dutch dairy co-operative into a merger with Campina in 2008. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Food Technology/Biotechnology and a Masters in Business Administration.
