Biography
Jamie is currently CEO of the Maori Trustee, an independent, professional trustee organisation which protects and grows the assets of Maori landowners. The Maori Trustee administers 2,000 trusts, companies and joint ventures on behalf of beneficial owners, with a portfolio of 1 00,000 hectares nationwide of Maori freehold land, and $80 million in client funds.
Jamie has held a range of governance positions in the health, iwi development, fishing, agribusiness and investment sectors. He is currently a director of Aotearoa Fisheries Ltd and Te Ohu Kaimoana Trustee Ltd, the chairman of the Ngati Mutunga ki Wharekauri Asset Hold ing Company and is the former chairman of Parininihi ki Waitotara Incorporation – a Taranaki based Maori agribusiness organisation. He is also a member of the Government’s PEAK Group for Sustainable Land Management and the Investment Advisory Panel for the Primary Growth Partnership – a government industry initiative that will invest in significant programmes of research and innovation to boost the economic growth and sustainability of New Zealand’s primary, forestry and food sectors.
Jamie is a member of the Institute of Directors and a recipient of the Sir Peter Blake Emerging Leadership Award.
