Biography
Fran O’Sullivan is Managing Director of NZ INC. and the Editorial Director of Business for NZME. Fran is a former editor of the National Business Review and a prominent columnist for the New Zealand Herald, where she writes on business, politics, and international affairs, and manages the annual high-profile Mood of the Boardroom project.
Fran co-chairs the China Business Summit, the premier annual China business conference in New Zealand, and sits as a member of the New Zealand China Council’s Advisory Board.
She is deputy chairman of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (NZ) which brings together government officials acting in their private capacity; academia and business representatives to engage with counter-parts within APEC’s membership on issues of regional economic importance.
Fran was a founder-director of the New Zealand United States Council in 2001 having led the private sector taskforce, which originated the council. She subsequently served as vice-president of the council and is a member of the advisory board. She is also a regular participant in NZ’s partnership forums with the United States, Australia and Japan.
