Biography

Charles Finny is a Partner at the Wellington Government Relations company Saunders Unsworth. He is a former trade negotiator, diplomat and CEO of the Wellington Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Charles has served overseas in Singapore, Beijing (Deputy HOM) and Taipei (HOM). He has been heavily involved in New Zealand’s GATT/WTO, bilateral and regional FTAs. He was Chief Negotiator in the early stages of the FTA with China and the Chief Negotiator of the recently signed agreement with Taiwan.

Charles chairs the Board of Education New Zealand and is on the Boards of NZTE, the New Zealand Film Commission and Victoria University of Wellington Council.
