Tripartite Economic Alliance

The Tripartite Economic Alliance was signed in 2014 in Guangzhou, and aims to help create jobs and enhance trade, investment and economic opportunities between sister cities Auckland, Los Angeles, and Guangzhou.

The 2016 Tripartite Economic Summit was held in Auckland, and provided delegates with the platform to connect with international entrepreneurs and businesses. The summit program included keynote presentations by global business leaders, sector-focused site visits, business matching sessions, and breakout panels focused on key industry sectors such as entertainment and digital, high-value foods, advanced materials, smart data, and design.

Mayor of Auckland Len Brown hosted the event, and was joined by the Mayor of Los Angeles, Eric Garcetti, and the Vice Mayor of Guangzhou, Wang Dong, along with Madame Li Xiaolin, President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
